Online orientation session on Common Universities Entrance Examination through the platform of NSSC

Nagpur Sahodaya Schools Complex hosted an orientation session on Common Universities Entrance Examination (CUET) on 5th May 2022. The Chairperson of NSSC, Mrs Bharti Bijwe welcomed the eminent Resource person Dr Indu Khetrapal from Central Board of Secondary Education. In her address, Dr Khetrapal briefed the member schools about the initiative of CUET to be conducted by the National Testing Agency for providing a fair and equal opportunity to grade XII students for seeking admission to undergraduate programs in different Universities on the basis of their interest, aptitude and performance. The given entrance examination is one of its own kind and will be conducted first time in 13 languages across 560 cities on the same day. The resource person explained the objectives and the pattern of the examination that comprise of section I for language testing through reading and comprehension based assessment, section II which consists of domain specific subjects and Section III on General knowledge. The unique feature of the CUET is the possibilities of subject specific combinations and permutations, a student can opt for seeking an admission in a range of 78 Universities out of which 44 are Central Universities and others are private and autonomous.

The technical resource person Mr Sagar briefed about the technicalities of filling out the examination form on the examination portal and referred to the application filling guide, FAQs and YouTube videos that provide clarity on the procedural aspects. Dr Khetrapal urged that all the schools should take pride and join hands to make the upcoming Common Universities Entrance Examination, a grand success by maximising the students enrollments for their bright future ahead. The Chairperson of NSSC extended gratitude towards the resource person for her valuable inputs and thanked the member schools for attending the orientation session.
