Nagpur Sahodaya Schools Complex (NSSC) Hosted STEM-DLD Expert-led Workshop for CBSE Principals and Educators

Nagpur, August 3, 2025 – In alignment with CBSE Notification TRG-3/2025 dated 01.04.2025 on ‘STEM EDUCATION’, Nagpur Sahodaya Schools Complex (NSSC) organised a one-day expert-led workshop focused on strengthening STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education across schools. The event took place on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at St. Vincent Pallotti Engineering College, Wardha Road, Gavsi-Manapur, Nagpur.
This STEM-DLD (Discipline Linked Design) workshop aimed to foster professional development, encourage collaboration, and ensure effective integration of STEM practices in school curricula. Eminent experts conducted interactive sessions around significant themes that included keynote address by Dr Yogesh Deshpande, Professor VNIT who focused on the essence and conditions of learning. Dr Ravindra Keskar Associate Professor VNIT spoke on the importance of Mathematical, Computational learning and design thinking. Dr. Madhura Kulkarni Professor, St Vincent Palloti Engineering college conducted a session on STEM - Hands on practical learning.
Professor Pallavi Deshpande, SVPCET facilitated the session on Experiential Learning through Motivated STEM Teachers .Sister Elizabeth Beena guided the teachers on Gender Parity in STEM Education.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from principals and senior educators of CBSE-affiliated schools across the region. It served as a dynamic platform to exchange innovative practices and gain insights into emerging technologies and pedagogical approaches in STEM education.
The Chairperson Bharti Bijwe extended gratitude towards Father Dr. Paul Chandrankunnel, Director SVPCET and appreciated the NSSC team that included Ms Vandana Bisen, Mr S N Sahu, Ms Rupali Dey, Ms Pallavi Chakkilala, Ms Apurva Pande.

Nagpur Sahodaya Schools Complex Hosts Regional Principals’ Conference for CBSE Principals Across Maharashtra

The Nagpur Sahodaya Schools Complex (NSSC) successfully organized the Regional Principals’ Conference 2025 for CBSE school leaders from across Maharashtra on 11th–12th July at St. Vincent Pallotti School, Besa, Nagpur. The conference, based on the forward-looking theme “Transformational Leadership in Schools,” served as an inspiring platform for collaboration, professional growth, and reimagining school leadership for the future.
The event commenced on an auspicious note with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Office Bearers and Trustees of the NSSC and accompanied by a soulful hymn. This was followed by a Sarva Dharma Prarthana presented by Modern School, promoting an atmosphere of unity and harmony.
Captivating cultural performances by students of Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Ashti, and Sandipani School, Nagpur, added a touch of tradition and spiritual elegance to the occasion. Chairperson Mrs. Bharti Bijwe highlighted the significant initiatives undertaken by NSSC over the past three years, which have greatly benefitted students, teachers, and principals of member schools.
Chief Guest Address
A highlight of the conference was the inspiring address by Chief Guest Hon’ble Shri Nitinji Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. He encouraged school leaders to focus on skill development, quality education, and enhancing students’ analytical and problem-solving abilities to prepare them for an ever-evolving global landscape.
Thought-Provoking Sessions
The two-day event featured a series of insightful keynote sessions by distinguished speakers:

Ms. Aditi Singhal, renowned motivational speaker, delivered an inspiring session on “Value-Based Leadership: Guiding Principles for Principals.” She emphasized nurturing a holistic personality—spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical—and urged leaders to identify and cultivate the unique strengths within every child.

Dr. Senthil Kumaran conducted an engaging session on “Nurturing Leadership in Our Schools,” stressing the balance between academic goals and emotional well-being. His “ABC Mantra” – Awareness, Building Competencies, and Collaboration – resonated deeply with the audience.

Dr. Ashok Pandey, an authority on school leadership, addressed “Equity, Inclusion, and Differentiation – Recalibrating Curricula for Diverse Learners.” He defined Inclusion as Ethos, Equity as Ethics, Differentiation as Strategy, and Recalibration as a Leadership Challenge.

Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, a wellness educator, led an insightful session on mental health and emotional resilience. She encouraged principals to embrace rest, reflection, and rejuvenation for enhanced leadership effectiveness.

Dr. Rajesh Verma, a technology expert, highlighted the transformative role of AI and emerging technologies in education. He underscored the importance of future-ready skills such as analytical thinking, active learning, creativity, and innovation, noting that AI will reshape educational ecosystems.
Best practices from various schools were showcased to promote collaborative learning. Shourya Sandhya, a cultural presentation by Sandipani School, Podar International School (Besa), St. Vincent Pallotti School (Besa), Modern School, Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir (Ashti), and Centre Point School (Katol Road) celebrated the valour, bravery, and resilience of soldiers and Samar Nayikas (women warriors), connecting historical courage to contemporary challenges and solutions.
The event was seamlessly compered by Mrs. Vandana Bisen and Mrs. Pallavi Chakkilala, ensuring a smooth flow of proceedings. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Fr. Joseph Koovely, who extended heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, speakers, participating schools, and attendees.

Skill Education Workshop in collaboration with Institutions of Higher Education 2023-24
|

|
|
Nagpur Sahodaya Schools Complex initiated one day skill education workshop in collaboration with Institutions of higher education in Nagpur with an objective to make students aware about vocational skill based, technology oriented courses to be future ready.
The partnered institutions were inclusive of Ramdeo Baba College of Engineering and Management, St Vincent Palloti College of Engineering, Raisoni College of Engineering.
The one day skill based experiential learning workshop was executed for grade IX students of the member schools of Nagpur Sahodaya.
The subjects covered for this learning beyond traditional classroom included artificial intelligence, Machine learning, coding, Mechatronics, Automations, robotics and 3D Printing as per the choice of enrollment from member schools / students.
The office bearers extended gratitude towards the educational institutions and member schools for supporting this initiative for the cause of students and quality education.
